This house is located in the costal suburb of McCrae situated on
Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula on a steeply sloping site with elevated
views of Port Phillip Bay. The house is partly elevated on thin columns
to provide an open feel revealing the expanse of the bay upon arrival.
The building is designed as an extruded form with the walls, floor and
roof extending past the glazing line to enclose a long balcony facing
the bay. The southern elevation presents a closed face to the street and
is punctuated by the kitchen wall recess and a long slot window to the
corridor.
